Yes, you read that right. This dish offers a twist to the classic carbonara. Bacon is quite expensive so we substitute a much affordable ingredient which is *drum roll* corned beef! It is almost always available in our homes, or if not, we can simply run to the nearest store and buy one. Let us start and in no time, you will taste a very special dish that will make everyone happy and full!

Here are the ingredients:

1. 150 g corned beef - You may use any brand but I used Star Carne Norte.

2. 250 ml all-purpose cream - Any brand will do, I used Nestle.

3. 140 ml evaporated milk - I used Alaska evaporada

4. 1 small can of mushroom (pieces & stems) - I used the brand Jolly.

5. 250 g spaghetti noodles, boiled until al dente

6. 1 small onion, minced

7. 1 small garlic, minced

Procedure:

  1. Boil the spaghetti noodles until they are cooked but still firm (al dente).

  2. After draining the water, put some oil on the noodles to prevent them from sticking.

  3. In a pan, put a bit of oil then saute the onion first, next the garlic.

  4. When the onion becomes translucent and the garlic browns, mix in the corned beef.

  5. Toss in the mushrooms.

  6. Pour in the all-purpose cream and evaporated milk.

  7. Add a little bit of salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Let the sauce simmer while continuously mixing.

  9. Serve the spaghetti on a plate, then pour a generous amount of sauce over it.
